Information We Collect & Processing Purposes
1. Information You Provide
- Account Data: Email address, name, and profile picture (via Google OAuth or Apple Sign-In). Used for authentication and personalization.
- User Content: Audio recordings, files (PDFs, docs), and text notes you upload. Processed to generate transcripts, summaries, and quizzes.
- Payment Data: We do not store full credit card details. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Web) or Apple/Google (Mobile). We receive only transaction status and subscription IDs.
2. Automatically Collected Data
- Usage Data & Analytics: Anonymous data on how you use the app (e.g., button clicks, features used) to help us improve the product.
- System Logs: IP address, device information, browser type, and access times. Collected for security, debugging, and maintenance purposes.
How We Share Your Data (Service Providers)
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers ("Subprocessors") required to operate the service:

We process your data based on:
- Contractual Necessity: To provide the services you signed up for (e.g., processing notes, managing accounts).
- Legitimate Interests: To improve our app, ensure security (system logs), and prevent fraud.
- Consent: For optional features or marketing communications (which you can opt out of).
- Legal Obligation: To comply with tax laws and accounting requirements.
International Data Transfers
Your data is processed primarily in the United States. If you are accessing the service from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, note that we transfer data to the US under appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or where an adequacy decision exists.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active or needed to provide the service.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time within the app. Upon deletion, your data is removed from our active databases immediately or within a reasonable technical grace period (usually 30 days for backups).
- Legal Retention: We may retain billing records for tax purposes for the period required by law (usually 5-10 years).

US State Privacy Notice (California/CCPA)
We do not "sell" your personal data as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and security. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (e.g., PostHog/Google Analytics configured for privacy) to understand app usage. We do not use third-party tracking pixels for cross-site retargeting.
